Hand built Shepherd's Hut with Wheels - Superb quality to original design
These buildings are hand built in a local workshop. As a standard these Shepherd Huts are built from 5th grade Scandinavian Redwood. They employ traditional methods for making joinery standard doors and windows.
Our 'Designer' range of buildings can be modified to your own special requirements. The images are indicative of the styles available at the prices shown. Please contact us for a quote should you require alternative designs.
They are clad in either 12mm or (optional extra) 22mm finished size T&G cladding and use a 50mm x 50mm framing to reduce the possibly of warping. The curved roof truss system is made with 50mm x 100mm Redwood and shaped in the workshop for extra strength.
Standard Features
- The roof and solid wood floor are made from 12mm T&G boards, with pressure treated rails to prevent rotting.
- A full mortise and tenon door, half glazed, half board. 3 lever mortice lock and Ludlow black antique handle.
- 600mm x 450mm mortise and tenon window, openers with Ludlow lockable casement fastener and casement stay.
- Windows are glazed with 4mm glass and are set with clear mastic and quality beads.
- The wheeled Shepherds hut comes with up to 3 sets of casement windows, a stable door with window, vertical boards, a 50cm x 200cm base frame and decorative cast wheels
- Available in sizes 6'6" x 11' and 8' x 11'
All buildings are built individually to your specification. Door and window positions can be changed to meet your requirements.
We offer a range of roof coverings and colour options if required. Our buildings are designed and supplied for you to self install but we also offer a full installation service.
