These original Metpost System-2 (red) Post Supports are designed to allow the erection of fence posts in minutes without the need for digging holes or mixing concrete. Simply drive the Metpost Post Support into the ground with a sledge hammer and a Metpost Driving Tool and the 4-fin steel spike provides anchorage for your posts.
Put up a fence in 6 easy steps:
- Mark out the line of your fence. Using a Metpost Driving Tool and a sledgehammer, drive in the first Metpost using short firm strokes.
- Every few strokes check the vertical alignment of the Metpost with a spirit level. Also take care that the Metpost doesn't "twist" out of alignment with the fence line.
- Adjust the alignment of the Metpost using the handles of the Metpost Driving Tool. Continue to drive in the Metpost until the box is approximately one centemetre off ground level.
- Attach Metclips or L Clips to the post using galvanised nails.
- Place timber post into box of spike insert into System 2 Box and tighten the bolts until secure. Locate a panel into the Metclips and fasten with galvanised nails.
- Drive the second Metpost Post Support into the ground at the opposite end of the panel and repeat steps 2-6, erecting your fence as you go.
