*Sales of Artificial Grass Soar
As Britain has just had the second-lowest level of rainfall between January and June since 1914, sales of artificial grass have soared by one third. The warm, dry weather, together with hosepipe bans in north-west England, have prompted a rush for fake turf as gardeners repair damaged grass.
If you don't want to spend your weekends mowing the lawn and then disposing of the grass cuttings, an artificial lawn could be the solution you were looking for. Artificial grass is popular for families with young children as it offers a suitable play surface without the hassle of a traditional lawn.
