Protek Tough Coat
As part of the Wood Protector range, this clear wood stain dries to leave behind a see through hardwearing acrylic and wax coating that acts as a protective sealant to garden wood. Tough Coat can be applied as a top coat to Protek Wood Protector as an extra shield to protect a colour underneath from wear and tear. Protek Tough Coat is a wood stain that contains a film preservative that protects garden wood from attacks by mould and algae.
You can also apply Tough Coat to all types of garden buildings to give them that extra protective layer of water-proofing.
Paint this on internal timbers to stop them staining from dirt and make them wipe clean. This clear wood stain is a hard wearing water proof coating to be added over the top of Wood Protector or Shed & Fence.
If you want to waterproof a building without adding more colour then use Clear Tough Coat. For example if you like a subtle look of just one coat of Wood Protector Cornflower you can increase waterproofing and protection by adding one or two coats of Clear Tough Coat.
Decking and verandas painted in Wood Protector and Shed & Fence will also benefit from having a Clear Tough Coat over the top to make it more hard wearing underfoot.
A protective clear solution that can be applied to bare timber for a natural protective coating or coloured timber as a hard wearing top coat. Contains high levels of acrylic that increases the water proofing properties.
